Living in the time of COVID-19 - and knowing where it came from - it's time to take a look at the dangers of these trades and practices. They are unnecessary, unethical, inhumane and incredibly unnecessary. 

Carter Niemeyer was a key player in capturing wolves in Canada for the federal wolf reintroduction in the mid 90's that were released in Idaho and Yellowstone National Park. Carter worked for Wildlife Services as a federal trapper,wolf specialist and then retired as the Wolf Recovery Coordinator in Idaho after 26 years of service. Carter has written two books Wolfer a Memoir and Wolf Land (Bottleflypress.com). Carter continues  to educate ranchers and others on coexisting with wolves and other predators.

The 2nd half of my interview with Paula Ficara and Steve Wastell of Apex Protection Project -- a crazy ride talking about infiltrating the trapping culture in Montana. We also talk about what it was like to pull off one of the biggest wolf-dog rescues ever and what it takes to work with wolf-dogs.
